Versace X Bharat
This project was more than just a shoot—it was a tribute to India’s artistic heritage, captured through the lens of fashion.

my simple process
"Blending heritage with fashion, this project reimagines India’s rich cultural and architectural influences through intricate jewelry and couture. From concept to final production, every frame was crafted to highlight the elegance, craftsmanship, and storytelling behind the designs, ensuring a seamless fusion of tradition and modern aesthetics."
01
Immersive Research
This project was a blend of fashion and heritage, where designers drew inspiration from India’s rich culture and architecture to create jewelry and outfits for two models. Before the shoot, I studied the inspirations behind the designs—whether it was the intricate patterns of Mughal architecture, the elegance of Rajputana palaces, or the motifs found in traditional Indian textiles. Understanding these influences helped me craft a visual style that complemented the essence of the collection.
02
Capturing Human Essence
Fashion is more than just clothing; it’s an expression of identity. My focus was on highlighting how the models embodied the grace and storytelling within each design. Every movement, pose, and expression needed to reflect the cultural depth behind the garments. I worked closely with the models to bring out emotions that resonated with the inspiration behind their outfits.
03
Exploring Landscapes & Architecture
The backdrop plays a crucial role in fashion photography and filmmaking, especially when heritage is at the core of the theme. I selected locations that enhanced the grandeur of the designs—whether it was historical architecture, rustic courtyards, or intricate jaali windows that echoed the craftsmanship in the jewelry. Every frame was planned to complement the textures, colors, and patterns of the collection.
04
Ideation & Visual Storyboarding
With the research and locations finalized, I mapped out the visual direction for both the photoshoot and fashion film. The goal was to create a timeless, cinematic feel—merging traditional aesthetics with contemporary elegance. I storyboarded key moments, ensuring that each shot, whether still or moving, told a compelling narrative about heritage, craftsmanship, and fashion.
05
Production: Capturing the Narrative
During the shoot, I focused on lighting, composition, and movement to enhance the richness of the designs. For photography, I played with shadows and natural light to highlight the textures of the fabrics and jewelry. In the fashion film, I incorporated slow-motion, dynamic camera movements, and close-up shots to showcase the intricate details that made each piece unique. Every shot was carefully framed to honor the fusion of history and modern elegance.
06
Post-Production & Delivery
I refined the visuals to bring out the depth and vibrancy of the collection. The final edits maintained a balance between cinematic storytelling and fashion aesthetics. The film’s pacing, color grading, and transitions were crafted to enhance the regal and heritage-driven theme.
